Berry-picking in the forest

Viime sunnuntaina lähdimme metsään poimimaan marjoja.

Otimme ämpärit ja menimme aamulla. Metsä oli vihreä ja hiljainen.

Kävelimme polkua pitkin. Pian löysimme mustikoita.

Istuimme maahan ja aloimme poimia. Poimimme marjoja kaksi tuntia.

Näimme myös oravan. Se kiipesi puuhun nopeasti.

Söimme eväät kiven päällä. Aurinko paistoi ja linnut lauloivat.

English translation

Last Sunday we set off into the forest to pick berries.

We took buckets and left in the morning. The forest was green and quiet.

We walked along a path. Soon we found blueberries.

We sat down on the ground and started to pick. We picked berries for two hours.

We also saw a squirrel. It climbed up a tree quickly.

We ate our snacks on a rock. The sun shone and the birds sang.

Set off into the forest too! Take a bucket and good shoes with you. Remember to drink water!
