A new home
Etsimme pitkään uutta kotia. Suomessa on monenlaisia asuntoja.
Aluksi asuimme vuokra-asunnossa kerrostalossa. Sitten halusimme oman kodin, omistusasunnon. Mietimme, ostammeko rivitalon vai omakotitalon. Lopulta valitsimme pienen omakotitalon.
Talossa on mukava olohuone. Siellä on takka, joka lämmittää talvella. Lisäksi joka huoneessa on patteri. Talon lämmitys toimii hyvin. Kesällä taas ilmastointi pitää huoneet viileinä. Vanhassa mökissä ei ollut juoksevaa vettä, mutta tässä talossa on. Myös viemäri toimii moitteettomasti.
Makuuhuoneessa on iso sänky eli peti. Ostimme uuden patjan, pehmeän peiton ja kaksi tyynyä. Nukun nyt paremmin kuin koskaan.
Olohuoneessa on televisio ja vanha radio. Pöydällä on aina kännykkä ja lyijykynä muistiinpanoja varten. Yöllä sytytän pienen valon. Ovessa on hyvä lukko, joten tunnen oloni turvalliseksi.
Talossa on myös paljon tilaa tavaroille. Kellarissa on varasto. Ullakolla säilytämme vanhoja laatikoita. Autotallissa on auto ja polkupyörät. Roskakori on keittiössä.
Talon ulkopuolella on iso piha, ja sisäpuolella on aina lämmin. Autotalli on pihan kulmassa. Naapurin luona käymme usein kylässä.
Valitse koti, joka sopii sinulle! Älä osta liian isoa taloa. Tarkista lämmitys ja viemäri ennen kauppaa!

We searched for a new home for a long time. In Finland there are many kinds of homes.
At first we lived in a rented apartment in a block of flats. Then we wanted our own home, an owner-occupied apartment. We wondered whether to buy a terraced house or a detached house. In the end we chose a small detached house.
The house has a nice living room. There is a fireplace there, which warms in winter. In addition, in every room there is a radiator. The house's heating works well. In summer, in turn, the air conditioning keeps the rooms cool. In the old cottage there was no running water, but in this house there is. The drains also work perfectly.
In the bedroom there is a big bed. We bought a new mattress, a soft duvet and two pillows. I now sleep better than ever.
In the living room there is a television and an old radio. On the table there is always a mobile phone and a pencil for notes. At night I switch on a small light. On the door there is a good lock, so I feel safe.
The house also has a lot of space for things. In the cellar there is a storage room. In the attic we keep old boxes. In the garage there is the car and the bikes. The bin is in the kitchen.
Outside the house there is a big yard, and inside it is always warm. The garage is at the corner of the yard. We often visit at the neighbour's.
